Remodelling

Internal unit remodeling that involves moving walls, windows, electrical, plumbing or air conditioning installation requires Puamana Board approvals, may require a Kauai county permit, and in some cases require PHCA approvals.

Procedures

1. Review the Remodelling Guidelines

2. For air conditioning installation, check the air conditioning installation request procedure

3. Submit an online remodeling approval request

4. The resident manager will review this with the board and either approve or decline your request

5. If approved, you will need to follow the approval instructions. Your contractor may need to obtain a Kauai county permit. If your work involve exterior, e.g air conditioning units, you will also need to obtain approval from PHCA (princeville hanalei community association).
